Measurements

This section allow you to analyze your app’s performance data, helping you optimize your app and improve its visibility in the App Store.

App Store Connect provides developers with various measurements and metrics to help them understand their app’s performance and user engagement. These insights enable developers to make informed decisions and optimize their app for better visibility and success in the App Store.

To gain access to the App Store Connect measurements and metrics for your app through ASO.dev, you can now use an App-Specific Password.

Create an App-Specific Password

  • Sign in to Your Apple Account with your email and password.

  • Once signed in, in the “Sign-In and Security” section, select “App-Specific Passwords”.

  • Select Generate an app-specific password or select the + Add button.

  • Enter a Label for the Password to help you remember its purpose, then click “Create”.
Set App-specific Password Name
  • Copy and save the generated password in a secure place. This password will only be displayed once.

  • Use the generated password to sign in to the third-party app or service that requested access to your Apple Account. Instead of entering your primary Apple Account password, enter the App-Specific Password.

Metrics type

Impressions

The number of times your app’s icon was viewed on the App Store, including in search results, featured stories, and other categories. This metric helps gauge the effectiveness of your app’s icon and its ability to attract user attention.

Product Page Views

The number of times users visited your app’s product page on the App Store. This metric helps you understand the effectiveness of your app’s title, description, screenshots, and preview videos in convincing users to learn more about your app.

App Units

The total number of first-time app downloads made on the App Store. This metric helps you evaluate the overall success of your app’s marketing and promotional efforts.

In-App Purchases

The total number of in-app purchases made by users. This metric helps you understand user engagement and willingness to spend money within your app.

Retention Rate

The percentage of users who continue to use your app after a certain period (e.g.,7 days, 30 days, 90 days). This metric helps you gauge the long-term value of your app and identify areas for improvement to keep users engaged.

Active Devices

The number of devices with at least one session in the selected period. This metric helps you track your app’s user base and overall reach.

Sessions

The total number of times users opened your app during a selected period. This metric helps you understand the frequency of user interaction with your app.

Average Session Length

The average amount of time users spend in your app per session. This metric provides insights into user engagement and the overall quality of your app’s user experience.

Ratings and Reviews

The average rating and user reviews for your app. These metrics help you understand how well your app meets user expectations and identify areas for improvement.

Revenue

The total income generated by your app, including in-app purchases, subscriptions, and advertising revenue. This metric helps you evaluate the financial success of your app and guide future monetization strategies.

By monitoring these App Store Connect measurements and metrics, developers can gain valuable insights into their app’s performance, user behavior, and areas for improvement, ultimately leading to a more successful and engaging app experience.
