Adding Competitors to Your List

To add a competitor to your list.
To find competitors, you can use the following methods:

  • App search: Search for apps by name, publisher, or keyword.
  • App Info: You may also like & You may also like: Reverse sections
  • Top apps in a category: View the top apps in a category to identify competitors.

You can add competitors to your list through the Competitors screen by clicking the “Add” button.
You can select multiple competitors from the search results, or enter application links, each on a new line.

Competitor Insights

The Competitors screen provides an overview of the apps you’ve added to your list.
Switch between countries to analyze app data for specific regions.

App card App card

The data displayed on the app card includes:

  • App icon
  • App position: The app’s ranking on the selected date.
  • Change in position
    • - [Position] ↓: Indicates a drop in position by a certain number of positions
    • + [Position] ↑: Indicates an increase in position by a certain number of positions
    • : No longer ranked.
    • : New ranking position.

When you hover over the position change, a tooltip will display the current and previous positions.

  • Previous position: Indicates the app’s previous position for Out of Top applications.
  • App name
  • Subtitle
  • Current rating
  • Number of ratings
  • Publisher
  • Number of downloads
  • Revenue data (for grossing apps)
  • Price: Indicates whether the app is totally free or free with in-app purchases or paid

Clicking on the app card will open App information view.

When you tap on an app card, you can access a detailed screen showing the key metrics of the competitor’s app for the selected country.

With a single click, you can now reveal even more data across all application cards in the list view – perfect for scanning competitors.
These settings help you get more context directly from the application cards in the list view — no need to open each one:

  • In-App Purchases & Subscriptions – Uncover monetization strategies by revealing In-App Purchases (IAPs) and subscriptions directly in the list. Know what they offer, how they price, and how often they update.
  • In-App Events – See if competitors are running any in-app events (like promotions or seasonal content) and how they present them in their App Store listing.
  • Screenshots – Instantly preview every screenshot from each app. No need to open them one by one. Quickly assess visual style, messaging, and localization.
  • Release Date & Last Update – Track how fresh and active an app is. Quickly spot dormant apps or recently updated ones – useful for timing your own updates or launches.

Enable any (or all) of these toggles for a more detailed and efficient competitor overview, make your workflow faster and more focused.
